plush monster

So I drew a little monster guy which I was hoping to sculpt up into a toy, it's a little inspired (well quite alot inspired) by a couple of toys which are being released, The Seeker and Buffmonster's Destroyer.

So I went out to work one day and came home to find my sketch half made in plush by awesome Girlfriend!

The original sketch has him all slimy but I guess its hard to pull off in plush and the furry material she used actually really works!

This is a proto and she is gunna try and make some different versions and I'm also gunna have a go a sculpting him too but to be honest I don't know if I can see him any other way than plush.

So without further ado...

Watch this space with this guy I'm hoping he's gunna stick around.

TAW:IKSOSE3

I love Coheed and Cambria,

Now that I have got that out of the way you can probably tell that this isn't going to be an unbiased post about the Amory Wars comic.

What I will say is that I have enjoyed the two previous runs of the comic (named after the corresponding albums) but this newest run is shaping up to be the best so far, the plot seems to be more cohesive and Claudio seems to really have got his writing head on, more so than the previous outings and probably helped by the fact that he just wrote a novel (Year of the Black Rainbow which accompanies the newest album). The art has always been a little lacking for me, I mean its great art but something just doesn't grab me about it and that is a personal thing but the detail in this issue is fantastic and really adds depth to the story.

I saw someone post somewhere that there wasn't enough background to the Amory Wars universe well this latest run really discounts that theory as there is loads of background stuff going on just look at those fish on the front cover below, it really helps flesh out the universe.. love it!

It's not too late to get in on the fun as the first two arcs have just been released as a master edition so pick it up if your interested you shouldn't be disappointed, I'd get it myself but I already have the issues (signed :D )

The hottest joints (as Westwood would say)

Head over to Battlegrip.com where the awesome Phil Reed has been privy to some great news regarding some upcoming awesome for the Glyos system.

This is basicly a new joint system for Glyos figures which will enhance articulation and playability and will be sold as accessory packs in a similar way to the phase arm packs, I personally can't wait to see these! Huzzah to Matt (creator of Glyos, nice guy and all round genius)

If the last 6 lines of text meant nothing to you then do yourself a favour and click on the Glyos transmission weblog link in my blogs list!

more customs

3 days in a row! I am a blogging machine!!

Don't worry soon I will run out of past material and have to find something a little less self indulgent to blog about but I just wanted to share a few other customs which I did for the October Toys holiday trade last year.

Again I have stolen the pics from the "lucky" recipient Ralph Niese

Now the more observant among you will notice that one off these customs is similar in concept to the great Present dunny customs done around the same time by Reactor88but I promise that they were done at the same time and no plagiarism on my part was involved at all. I couldn't believe it when Reactor88 revealed his, his execution of the idea was fantastic and I was a little jealous tbh.

The second custom was just a straight repaint of a Buffmonster 1.5" fig inspired by the coldest winter I remember living through.

Thanks for making my stuff look good with your awesome pictures Krakit!

So this is my Wormy Dunny design and below that is somthing I did just for Krakit, it's an eye bear.

Hi World

Ok, so I've been reading alot of blogs recently and at the moment I seem to have stuff going on which in the future I may or may not want to blog about so I thought I would throw one together just incase it was the former.

I can't say there will be regular updates, I can't even say the updates will be interesting. What I can say is that there will be spelling mistakes (even with spell check) and grammatical errors in abundance, I'm dyslexic so don't judge me or it makes you a bad person >_<

So what can you expect from me?

I customise toys and even make some of my own so there will be bits from that world and whatever else takes my fancy, oh and I wouldn't be surprised if there were regular visits from the inhabitants of the edge of space, I love Glyos and so they will most likely be a regular feature here.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you'll come back again.
